My client commissioned me to do an illustration for her father's birthday. It seems her dad used to tell fable-like stories about Chicken Snakes when she and her sister were young. The fun thing was that no one seemed to know what these Chicken Snakes looked like so I got to design them from scratch. The final illustration was a complete success. I'm still hoping her father writes down his stories and gives me a call to do the illustrations. Seen above are some very rough pencil sketches from my "Chicken Snakes" file, perhaps the only file in the world with that title.
